Kissing and holding hands will be prohibited within a radius of 100 meters from the Blue Mosque

As part of strengthening Armenian-Iranian relations, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran officially asked to respect its traditions not only inside the Blue Mosque on Mashtots Avenue, but also in its surroundings.

“Numerous tourists from different countries come in and behave more or less decently on the mosque grounds. But as soon as they come out, they begin to behave defiantly. Understand us please, we personally aren't allowed to do this.” - said the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic, Mr. Abbas Badakhshan Zohuri.
