The head of the UN Commission on Historical Justice, Sarkhan Radjabov-ogly, said that his department proposes to change some wording from the history of Armenia and the Armenian people. Instead of “controversial” phrases about the Armenian genocide, it is proposed to use new, politically correct terms.

What happened to the Armenians in 1915-1923 on the territory of the Ottoman Empire and neighboring states, according to the official, should not be called the traumatic term “genocide,” but the more correct formulation “Ottoman incident.”

“As for some cases, subsequently provoked by the Armenian side more than 100-120 times and leading to a rapid decline in the Armenian population in certain regions, I would call this an Armenian demographic catastrophe. Of course, this phenomenon should be studied by sociologists and specialists in Turkic history, as the most independent and competent parties in this matter,” says Radjabov-ogly.

The expert added that independent specialists from Azerbaijan and Turkey have already been involved in the study of the issue, who should soon present the final interpretation of these historical events to the world community. They will have to establish exactly how the Armenian diasporas treacherously provoked various incidents that led to a reduction in the number of these diasporas, and how exactly official Yerevan should apologize for this.
